Arlington, VA (PRWEB) September 17, 2011

The Association for Enterprise Information (AFEI) is proud to announce the winners of its 2011 Excellence in Enterprise Integration Awards. The top Industry Award was awarded to Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control of Orlando, Florida for its Sniper® Integration on the F-15C Eagle Program. The government submission selected to receive the top Government Award was the FBI’s Criminal Justice Information Services Division National Data Exchange (N-DEx) in Clarksburg, West Virginia.

The selected organizations demonstrated, in the opinion of the judges, the best applications of technology and leadership to improve enterprise performance. Innovative approaches, quantifiable metrics, long-term strategic effect and measurable accomplishments were all clear attributes of the winning nominations.

Ms. Jo Manson, PEO EIS Public Affairs and Strategic Communications Office, was one of this year’s judges and is a past award winner. “The Excellence in Enterprise Integration awards program is a great competition. Being a judge has raised my level of awareness about the commitment of Industry and Government to bring innovative problem solving and emerging technologies to the forefront in resolving problems and creating solutions,” said Ms. Manson.

“AFEI is extremely proud of this awards program” said David Chesebrough, President of the association. “This year we received over 50 nominations. Reading through the submissions provides insight into the outstanding work being done in both Government and industry. Many of these nominations are deserving of recognition.”
