PRESENTATIONS ARE POSTED UNDER THE PROCEEDINGS TAB

The DI2E Plugfest is the annual demonstration of advancements in the DI2E.  The purpose is to provide a environment of networked, interoperable and reusable components, the Plugfest eXchange, where vendors are able to deploy and show their tools to provide flexible, agile and data-driven capabilities to Warfighters.

The DI2E is the Department of Defense’s (DoD) enterprise architecture for the Intelligence Mission Area. As such it is part of the DoD Joint Information Environment and must federate with the other capability architectures across the DoD. Thus DI2E acts as a bridge between the DoD Joint Information Environment (JIE) and IC Information Technology Enterprise (IC ITE).

Teams Week

Once again Plugfest is being held as a part of a DI2E Teams week, and participants in the various meetings and reviews of Teams Week will also be attending the Plugfest.  For more on Teams Week see the FAQ here.

Each of the 24 participating teams, groups and agencies has been invited to attend the Plugfest.

The Plugfest Program for 2015 features

  • DCGS Program Managers
  • Expanded Mashup Challenge
  • Interoperability Talk from PM-ISE
  • New head of ISR Infrastructure, OUSD(I)

The 2015 edition continues DI2E web service access control to support RESTful services, in addition to SOAP. We have also added a web single sign-on specification.  A main focus for this year’s DI2E Plugfest is demonstrating the ability for vendors to implement the technical profiles Content Discovery and Retrieval (CDR) specifications.

STAND OUT IN THE DI2E CROWD!

Why Sponsor?

1.  Expose your brand - your brand gets broad exposure to the DI2E community.

2.  Display your unique capability - Your products are demonstrated to align with DI2E.

3.  Beat the competition - DI2E is looking for solutions, you achieve a competitive advantage demonstrating you have them.

Become a DI2E Plugfest sponsor!

Sponsoring at the Platinum or Gold levels delivers maximum value and gives you the greatest exposure to the DI2E Plugfest attendees, including the opportunity to speak to the audience during the sponsor lightning rounds.  These sponsorships place your brand and message in front of the largest number of attendees.

Sponsorship at any level demonstrates to the community your committment and dedication to the critical mission of integrated ISR across the community, and your support of the DI2E.

Contact Tammy Kicker at [email protected] or (703-247-9494) for details on how to become a sponsorship partner for 2015 Plugfest. Need some flexibility with your sponsorship budget? Be sure to ask how AFEI can help.

Top Three Reasons to Sponsor

1. Broad Exposure

DI2E Plugfest participation provides exposure to the DI2E community, a broad customer base across DCGS programs, JIOCs and the IC, and DoD and IC governance.   Each PoR is measured annually against their ability to align to DI2E standards, so having access to capabilities that can be reused and have been demonstrated to align to DI2E standards is preferred.

Government Mashup Teams are directly exposed to vendor capabilities in the PX, and in turn Service and COCOM users see through these demonstrations the capabilities that are available to them.  DI2E Plugfest aligns with the quarterly DI2E Teams Week, bringing key decision makers from across DoD and the IC to the event.

In the 2014 DI2E Plugfest 51% of the 400+ participants came from 57 different Government organizations.

This year you have an opportunity to meet the senior leaders from USD(I), DIA, NRO, DoD CIO, Joint Staff, PM-ISE, Air Force Acquisition, and Prgram Managers from DCGS programs of record.

2. Entry to the DI2E Clearinghouse Process

DI2E Plugfest streamlines entry into the DI2E Storefront  process for component reuse and interoperability evaluation.  Level 0 exposes your product to the entire DI2E community, and with Government sponsorship, the product can be taken through the clearinghouse evaluation, integration and testing process and become available to the DI2E community in the DI2E Storefront.

3. Competitive Advantage

Alignment with the DI2E SvcV-4 Reference Architecture, demonstrated by successful completiong of PX integration and application of conformance test kits and awarding of the DI2E Plugfest “Gold Star”, is a significant signal to the DI2E community that this vendor’s products can be considered as viable capabilities.  Vendors who have completed Plugfest alignment verification may cite this as a qualifying past performance for purposes of government market research.

Who Attends?

In 2014 there were over 400 attendees participating in the DI2E Plugfest, 51% of them were from 57 different Government organizations.

The attendees came from every military Service, several COCOM JIOCs, the IC agencies, and related Federal organizations.

They ranged in rank from the Acting Deputy CIO and an agency CIO and CTO to engineers and analysts for specific intelligence programs.

Participants  included all of the key leaders of the Defense intelligence enterprise including OUSD(I), OUSD (AT&L), DISA, DNI, DIA, NRO and all of the military services who a building the ISR systems of tomorrow.

The entire DI2E governance community participates in Plugfest including the Integration Board, The Architecture Framework Action group, the Implementation Action Group, The International Partner Action Group, EFT, TEFT, DMO the DCGS programs of record.
