About the Conference
AFEI and the National Institute for Science, Space and Security Centers (NISSSC) at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs are presenting the first annual conference on Technology for Hope and Help.

This conference addresses the impact and potential of using advanced information technology to improve the effectiveness of disaster and emergency response. 

This is the only conference of its kind that brings together a cross-section of the responder community to specifically address information sharing and interoperability issues at all levels of response.  Don't miss this opportunity to take part in this unique event on information technology for disaster response.

Haiti relief 

A U.S. Navy sailor carries a Haitian boy off a helicopter at Terminal Varreux, Haiti, Jan. 23, 2010, as the boy's mother follows behind them. The child received treatment aboard one of the U.S. Navy ships serving as a hospital in Port-au-Prince harbor, Haiti and he was later discharged. U.S. military personnel are providing aid and support to earthquake victims in Haiti.
