CYBERWEST is focused on pratical information for cybersecurity.  The recent Sony attack illustrates the rising danger from malware that causes malicious data destruction.

In response, the National Security Agency’s Information Assurance Directorate released the Defensive Best Practices for Destructive Malware report which provides a brief rundown of strategies to combat this type of attack.

The report states “Once a malicious actor achieves privileged control of an organization’s network, the actor has the ability to steal or destroy all of the data that is on the network."
