Lean Software & Systems Conference 2012
Boston, Massachusetts
LSSC is the premiere conference for leading edge approaches to applying agile, lean and kanban approaches to knowledge work (e.g. software development, systems engineering, and systems acquisition). Following LSSC’s “big-tent” philosophy, the three 3 keynote speakers are from outside the fields of software development and systems engineering, but their experiences provide useful insights into applying lean for us all:
-
Steven Spear-MIT Sloan School of Management and Senior Fellow at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement. His book, The High Velocity Edge, has won numerous awards including the Philip Crosby Medal from the American Society for Quality (ASQ) in 2011.
-
Yochai Benkler-Berkman Professor of Entrepreneurial Legal Studies at Harvard, and faculty co-director of the Berkman Center for Internet and Society. His book The Penguin and the Leviathan, looks at how to design better more cooperative human systems.
Main stage speakers include a host of lean, agile and kanban software and system development experts such as David Anderson, Hillel Glazer, Don Reinertsen, Michael Kennedy, Mary Poppendieck, and Jim Sutton. Track chairs include Jeff Anderson, David Joyce, Bob Charette and Richard Turner.
A special rate is available to those readers of the AFEI website. Use the discount code ‘AFEI’ to receive a $400 discount on the conference fee.
